Hi Jim,
I a glider pilot from the Netherlands and I arrived at your webpage because I was looking for an electronic flap position indicator.
I happen to own (in a syndicate of 4 pilots) a Nimbus 3DT and it flies very well (in fact it was formerly owned by Lawrence Wood). One neat feature to install this winter would be a Flap position indicator by LED’s, just like the one that’s installed in your Nimbus. Could you give me information how this can be made and installed in a glider?
Best regards, Bert Otten

Bert, it’s a Schempp-Hirth part, you can order from S-H directly for the Nimbus 3.
Tot straks,
Jim
Jim:
I enjoy your site immensely. You are very dedicated in helping others learn about the nuts and bolts of restoration – I have learned a lot from your captioned sequential photos. Please, keep it up!
Re: Your Nimbus Wing resurfacing – Had the wing profile templates NOT been available from Dick Johnson, how would you have obtained them prior to your gel-coat re-surfacing?
Just curious, as I am contemplating resurfacing an ASW-15. The wing gel-coat is in pretty bad shape with cracks up and down the length of the wing.
Thanks for any assistance you might provide,
Morelle
